The Drain of Modern Life & The Power of Pranic Healing: An Expert’s Guide

Somewhere, somehow, the relationships we have built are based on desires. They are built on give and take. They lack authenticity. They lack depth. They lack stillness. They lack truth. They lack humour. They lack love.

When so many factors are working against you, and you’re still trying to balance everything on the surface, it creates a roughness within you. It irritates you, it creates frustration, and the steam from this frustration manifests as anger. And this anger, in just one minute—or 60 seconds—can deplete you of that priceless treasure we call Pranic Energy (Life Force Energy).

What are the Benefits of Pranic Healing?

The greatest benefit is that we begin to become aware. All the bad deeds, the bad karma you might have observed, happen in a state of unawareness. The moment your Prana (life force) starts to deplete, you will notice your breath starts flowing from both nostrils. Slowly, it will shift more to the left or the right side. Chances are, it will shift to the left.

Namaskar, I am [Host Name]. The Pranic Shakti (Pranic Energy) we speak of is something you will never see with your physical eyes. I can say with certainty that you cannot see it, but you can certainly experience it.

Often, we feel completely drained. Everything in life seems fine. Your health is okay. Your job is okay. Your business is okay. But there’s a lingering lack of energy. Essentially, this is your Pranic Shakti, which, due to various reasons, is gradually weakening.

So, what are the reasons that cause your Pranic energy to weaken? And what are the signs—whether on a mental or physical level—that tell you your Prana is completely empty, completely drained?

Today, my expert, a specialist in Pranic Healing, has discussed how you can increase your life force, your Pranic power, through Pranic Healing and what you can achieve. A very warm welcome to Shri Kaushal Guru Ji. Welcome, Guru Ji. Today we will talk about the subject of your expertise. You have healed many people through Pranic healing.

Host: First, for our viewers, since you have seen so many cases and guided so many people—who needs Pranic Healing the most? How is it identified? Are there signs that people listening right now should definitely understand and take note of?

Guru Ji: That’s a very beautiful question. Through your question, many people will benefit. Yes, there are signs. I will say again, there are five signs or symbols we can find in our lives to check if they are present.

  1. The first sign is feeling a constant lack of energy despite eating good food and living in a good place. When we get our blood tests done, all parameters come back normal. Yet, we constantly feel a lack of that zeal or energy within us.
  2. The second sign is being extremely entangled in thoughts. We might even be meditating, doing everything we’re supposed to, yet we always find ourselves lost in a web of thoughts. This indicates that our Pranic energy is diminishing.
  3. The third sign is the loss of the face’s radiance (Tej). It becomes completely dull. Even though we are eating well, living a good lifestyle, and have everything in abundance, the radiance of our face is diminishing. This is a significant indicator that our Pranic energy is becoming very low.
  4. The fourth sign is when we start seeing dreams in our sleep spontaneously—strange dreams that have nothing to do with us, things we haven’t even thought about during the day. If we consistently start seeing such dreams, we must understand that our Pranic energy is decreasing.
  5. The fifth sign is when our mind gets stuck on the lower Chakras. That is, when lustful thoughts or ideas constantly arise. In such a state, we must understand that our Pranic energy is becoming very low-grade instead of being elevated or normal.

This low-grade Pranic energy has many dimensions. When our Pranic energy starts to become low, it begins to change your entire existence. By existence, I mean it changes your very being. It affects everything you are as a person—what you think, what you do. And ultimately, it changes your identity.

Host: Can anger be a major signal in this issue base?

Guru Ji: A very big one. You are absolutely right. I believe anger is the mother of all demerits, all faults. In the end, everything is just energy. The mould you pour that energy into is what it becomes. Anger is a short-term madness. When anger comes, all your energy boils over and starts running like wild, unbridled horses. The senses have no control over it. Your brain has no control. Your consciousness has no control. The senses start running wild. In this short-term madness, you lose the power to think, understand, and contemplate.

When you start losing your abundant energy like this, that is ultimately a loss of Prana. A loss of that eternal energy. And when that energy starts to deplete, it gradually transforms your anger into many other forms. The energy is the same; it changed into anger. Now it will start changing into other forms.

Now, why does this happen? We need to understand this a bit. Because in today’s age, anger is the biggest issue. Even bigger than anxiety.

First, I believe our social structure is largely responsible.
Second, we have bought everything on EMI. We have stretched our needs and necessities far beyond what is essential.
Third, we are becoming overly ambitious. This ambition is, in a way, the root of all problems.
Fourth, we have placed a burden on ourselves that is 100 times our capacity.

If we add a few more things to this… somewhere, the relationships we have built are based on desires. They are built on give and take. They lack authenticity, depth, stillness, truth, humour, and love. And when so many factors are opposing you, when so many factors are working against you and you’re trying to balance everything on the surface, it creates an internal roughness. It irritates you, it creates frustration. And the steam from this frustration manifests as anger.

This anger, in just one minute—60 seconds—expels that priceless treasure, the Pranic Energy, from within you. It’s like having ₹100 in your savings account. Anger spends all 100 of it in one go.

Guru Ji: Absolutely, absolutely. Because when we are in a state of anger, so much pressure is put on our nervous system. Our sympathetic nervous system ignites instantly, takes over completely, and creates a ‘fight or flight’ situation. All the energy of the body that was being used to digest food, to think, to breathe, to make the heart beat—all of it gathers in one place and takes the form of a volcano. You can imagine the load on your nervous system in that state. How much your heart rate increases. How much your breathing rate increases. This creates a madness, a havoc.

So, you said we feel drained after anger. Yes. That’s why after anger, when a little stillness returns, we feel ‘Nih-Tej’ (devoid of radiance). Our Tej—our aura, our shine—vanishes all at once. And that’s why we feel drained.

What is Pranic Healing?

The form of Pranic Healing that I understand is the repair of Prana (life force) by Prana. The healing of Prana cannot be done by medicines. It cannot be done just by words. Just like to light a fire, we need fire itself, no matter what medium it comes from. Only then can we ignite the fire.

Similarly, when we start elevating the lower tendencies of Prana, or cleaning the dust settled on it—that is Pranic Healing. It has many modalities, many forms, many types. We can achieve this healing through many things, which we will discuss later.

But broadly, let’s understand that when the Prana becomes ‘Nih-Tej’ (dull), when its own shine starts to diminish, when this energy starts residing at a lower level instead of an elevated one, when its own inner power starts to fade or is completely lost—then we understand that this Prana has become very constricted, very limited. And it needs healing. And when we heal it, the term used is Pranic Healing.

Host: How does this happen? If we understand step-by-step that a person has no Prana energy left, how do you first advise them?

Guru Ji: Excellent. We do this in several phases.

  1. Phase One: Rest & Restore. You might look very peaceful, but your resting heart rate might be very high. This means you are not at rest. You might be sitting quietly, but your mind is running miles away, bringing new thoughts every second. Your sympathetic nervous system might be overloaded. Your body might look fine, but your digestion could be completely ruined. So, the first process we teach is Rest & Restore. Rest always starts from within and is visible here (in the body). Many people take rest from the body to the mind. In my way, we bring it from the mind to the body.
  2. Phase Two: Maintain Consistency. It’s like going away for five days and being very rested and relaxed, but on the sixth day, when we return to the office, the same cycle starts again. No, we must maintain this state consistently. To do this, we come to the second step: Breathwork. Breathwork doesn’t just mean Pranayama. The breath is the first thing that connects our inner existence to the outer existence. The shorter the breath (shallow breathing), the more physical, mental, and emotional problems there will be. We design different breath tools for people so they can use them according to their situation—whether in the office, home, or gym—to constantly stay connected to their Prana and expand its dimension so that healing happens every moment.
  3. Phase Three: Lifestyle Correction. This requires correcting one’s lifestyle. We look at a person’s personality type or constitution (like Vata-dominant) and advise on lifestyle, food, and activities accordingly. Doing activities that aggravate one’s inherent nature creates imbalance.
  4. Phase Four: Introduction of Mantras. This is a slightly higher step. We introduce Mantras. A mantra is a symbol, a sign. One can choose a Beej Mantra (seed syllable) or any mantra they feel drawn to. We advise them to slowly repeat these mantras in their mind, merging with them while waking, sitting, and sleeping. In this phase, we connect these mantras with the breath, which we call Ajapa Japa (automatic repetition). When this process continues for some days and changes begin to appear, we advise them to bring their awareness to their breath and connect the breath to the mantras the moment stress or anger arises.
  5. Phase Five: Chakra Sadhana (Chakra Practice). This is for more seasoned practitioners who wish to increase their Pranic energy further. This is very important. There are various Chakras with various activities. We work on them scientifically and sequentially, starting with the dormant or blocked Chakras, gradually moving upwards. This involves specific body postures (Asanas), specific breathing techniques, and sometimes the use of crystals, colours, and mantras.
  6. The Final Practice: Actual Prana Flow (Distance Healing). When a person is ready, knows their Prana and their mind, and is aware of their existence, we start the actual flow of Prana. This is the transformation or transmutation of Prana between two living objects. The best way is to connect with your energy and reach the Pranic energy of the other person. It is absolutely not necessary for the receiver to be in front of you. They can be thousands of kilometres away, and you can send your Prana flow to them while sitting right here. This is how Distance Healing was born. The most important thing for this is Silence. Inner Silence is paramount. When we descend into that depth, you become nothing. You are only in your Pranic element. Gradually, this Pranic element helps lead you to the Anandamaya (blissful) state, the true form of the soul.

What are the Benefits of Pranic Healing? The benefits are countless.

  1. You Become Aware: This is the biggest benefit. All bad deeds, bad karma, happen in unawareness. Souls coming into this world today are mostly coming in a state of unawareness, which is why the general level of intellect has diminished, and bodies have become weaker. Pranic Healing makes you aware and capable.
  2. You Become Alert & Vigilant: Awareness leads to alertness. You start to see your life from a new dimension—with the eye of the soul’s awareness, not the physical eye. Alertness means you understand your life’s duration is limited. Many people live their entire lives in unawareness, not knowing how it slipped away. This makes you vigilant, and whoever is vigilant is successful. This vigilance leads to three things:
    • Your body becomes much healthier.
    • You understand what kind of people you should associate with.
    • You start to find your life’s purpose.
  3. Your Aura Field Completely Changes: A great example is a person full of self-doubt whose aura field became so magnificent after three months of practice that his own family started seeing a transformed, positive person. An increased aura field in a good way attracts abundance. Your mental state changes—anger, anxiety, suppression become things of the past. Wherever you go, you will radiate a fragrance. People may envy you, but it will not harm you because you not only know how to improve your aura but also how to protect and maintain it.

Host: If we enter a negative energy field, can our aura sense it? Can someone who is very negative, who is pulling us down, drain our Pranic energy?

Guru Ji: An ordinary person who is very positive but does not know how to protect their Prana will undoubtedly have their energy drained. What is commonly called ‘Nazar Lagana’ (evil eye) is exactly this. Energy has a rule: it always flows from positive to negative, from high to low. It takes a motor and electricity to bring water up, but it needs nothing to flow down. So, the moment a person full of energy comes in contact with negative energy and doesn’t know how to protect it, their energy will certainly deplete.

How to Protect Your Pranic Energy: 4 Practical Tips

  1. Meditate Morning and Evening: By meditation, I mean increasing awareness. Either listen to a mantra, read a good book, or simply take your awareness to your breath. This increases awareness. The moment your energy starts depleting, you will become aware of it.
  2. Use a Mantra: Internalize a mantra given by a guru or family. Chant it at least 108 times morning and evening. Or, the moment you feel you are in a negative field, start chanting the mantra silently in your mind.
  3. Breath Awareness: The moment your Prana starts depleting, you will notice your breath is flowing from both nostrils, and then it will shift to one side (often the left). If you are aware, you will feel that most of the time, only one nostril is active. This means you are losing your precious Pranic energy. To fix this, practice alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana) or simply close the active nostril and breathe through the inactive one for a few minutes at regular intervals to rebalance the flow.
  4. Use Purifying Elements:
    • Camphor (Karpur): Use pure camphor (not artificial). Inhale and exhale near it for 5 minutes in the morning and evening. You can do this in your car or office before a meeting if you feel surrounded by negative energy. Also, burn camphor and let its smoke waft around your home and over your body. It is very healing and immediately elevates your Pranic energy.
    • Sage or Bay Leaf: Burn sage or bay leaves in the morning and evening at least twice a day to purify the space.
    • Ganga Jal (Holy Water): Hold Ganga Jal in your right hand. Look at it, and while looking at it (eyes open), offer a prayer or think of your deity or guru. Water has memory, and it will absorb those positive thoughts. Then, sprinkle this water on yourself and around your surroundings. This will provide excellent benefits.

Host: Pranic Healing is such a vast subject that it’s nearly impossible to cover in one session. We will meet again to discuss this further for the benefit of our audience. Thank you so much, Guru Ji, for joining us.

Guru Ji: Thank you for having me on this platform. Remember, Pranic energy, even though you can’t see it, plays a very important role in your life. I have tested the power of this Prana many times in my own life. When it becomes very low, trends happen. Without this Pranic power, nothing you expect in life materializes. So, whether your expectations are about health, ambition, material gains, or spiritual gains, you must increase your Pranic power. I have shared some simple techniques. Try them once and then let me know in the comments if you felt a change.

Stay connected. Namaskar.
